Transportation

Cars are a fairly good mode of transportation in Central Coquitlam. It is convenient to park. However, Central Coquitlam is not particularly transit friendly. Nonetheless, homeowners are served by a few bus lines, and it is especially convenient to find a nearby bus stop from most properties. Biking is easy in Central Coquitlam since this area has a fairly good bicycling infrastructure. In contrast, there aren't many pedestrians out on the streets of this area, despite the fact that many daily errands can be run without the use of a vehicle.

Services

Daycares and schools are very easy to reach on foot from anywhere in Central Coquitlam. Families are served by public and private primary schools. With respect to eating, reaching the nearest grocery store on foot is practical for some, but not all, property owners in Central Coquitlam. There are also a limited number of choices for those who value restaurants and cafes within walking distance.

Character

Central Coquitlam is a very good neighbourhood to buy a house in for those who prefer a relaxed ambience. There are approximately 10 public green spaces close by for residents to check out and they are very well-located, which makes it very easy to access them. This area is also very quiet, as noise from the streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue.

About 80% of the units in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners while the rest are rented. Single detached homes are the predominant housing type, representing the majority of dwellings in this neighbourhood, while duplexes are also present in the housing stock. Most housing in this part of the city was built in the 1960s and 1970s, during its biggest building boom. Although this neighbourhood is especially good for those looking for four or more bedroom homes.
