It is very convenient to find a parking spot, and it is a short drive to the nearest highway, such as Highway 99, from any home in this part of West Vancouver. On the other hand, the public transit system in Eagle Harbour is rather limited. Thankfully, house owners benefit from a few bus lines, and bus stops are typically nearby. Many of the houses for sale in this part of West Vancouver are located in places that are not very convenient for those who travel by foot since running common errands is very inconvenient. It is also at times difficult to commute by bike in this part of the municipality because there are few bike lanes, and there are quite a few elevation changes. Nevertheless, biking is more feasible in certain areas than others.

Parents and their children will value the proximity to primary schools and daycares, which are within walking distance from the majority of properties for sale in Eagle Harbour. On the other hand, there are no high schools in this neighbourhood. In terms of food, home buyers in Eagle Harbour typically have to rely on a car to travel to the nearest supermarket.

The character of Eagle Harbour is exemplified by its relaxed ambience. Green spaces are easy to access, since there are around 10 of them nearby for residents to explore and most homes for sale have a park nearby. This neighbourhood is also reasonably good for those who like a quiet atmosphere, as noise from streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue - although there are still several noisier sections, especially close to Highway 99, Trans-Canada Highway or the railway line.

About one third of properties in Eagle Harbour were constructed in the 1960s and 1970s, while many of the remaining buildings were built pre-1960 and in the 1980s. In this neighbourhood, the vast majority of buildings are single detached homes, while duplexes are the main alternative in the housing stock. Homeowners occupy roughly 90% of the dwellings in Eagle Harbour and the rest are rented. This area also has quite a good selection of unit sizes; however this neighbourhood is particularly good for those looking for four or more bedroom homes.
