Sunbury-Terrace

The neighbourhood of Sunbury-Terrace is part of the municipality of Delta, British Columbia, which is located in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area.

Transportation

Driving is a great transportation option in this part of the municipality. Most houses for sale are a reasonably short drive from the closest highway, and coming across a parking spot is easy. However, the public transit network in Sunbury-Terrace is rather limited. Nonetheless, the neighbourhood is connected by a few bus lines, and the nearest bus stop is typically just around the corner. Commuting by bicycle is easy in this part of the municipality as there are a fair number of bike lanes. Sunbury-Terrace is not very convenient for walking as most daily needs are inconvenient to meet without the use of a vehicle.

Services

It is a reasonably short walk to access primary schools and daycares from any location in Sunbury-Terrace. In contrast, there are no high schools in this neighbourhood. As far as eating is concerned, some, but not all, property owners in Sunbury-Terrace will live within walking distance of the nearest grocery store. A small number of restaurants can be found in Sunbury-Terrace as well.

Character

Sunbury-Terrace is a very good neighbourhood to buy a house in for those who prefer a relaxed atmosphere. Parks are very well-spread out and there are about 10 of them close by for residents to check out, making them very easy to reach. This area is also very quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour.

Housing

In Sunbury-Terrace, most dwellings are single detached homes, whereas the rest are mainly duplexes. This area is primarily composed of three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy around 85% of the units in the neighbourhood and 15% are rented. This area experienced its biggest building boom between 1960 and 1980, so most of the available properties are from this time period.
