In the Spring of 2021 my mother passed away and my brother and I needed the family home sold. I knew Ron O'Shea for a few years now and asked for his assistance. Both my brother and I interviewed Ron and were impressed with his industry knowledge and overall personality.
Probate on the estate was underway when we hired Ron to list the home. Interest in the house was good. We had hoped for more money, then what we finally accepted, but the sale put this chapter behind us.
We now had to begin selling off family belongings. We planned numerous garage sales to get this task done. Ron was there to offer numerous folding tables for us, as well, he provided us with professional "Yard Sale" signs.
He then offered his truck and time to haul appliances and garbage to the dump. We needed a lawyer, so Ron recommended one in our neighbourhood, which was convenient.
When the final possession day came, Ron was there to make sure everything was ready to go.
A skilled professional, ready to roll up his sleeves, should his help be needed.

I decided to sell my house in the summer of 2022 and knew of Ron O’Shea, because he lived in my neighbourhood. I will be the first to say that I had no clue as to the process of listing a property or what it takes to sell one. Ron and I sat down and he explained the contract and he verbalized it in “ layman” terms that I could understand. Still slightly apprehensive to the process, I put my trust in Ron’s 19 years experience and listed it because my schedule had me working out of town, a lot and it was time to sell. That’s when this guy took over. I told Ron that I didn’t have email and hated texting, so he had everything I needed to sign in person. A cleaner was arranged and photos were taken. He actually helped with some landscaping needs and yard clean up.
Then, and this is what blew my mind, Ron actually helped me empty a very full garage and trucked things to my other address and a few trips to the dump. Correct me if I’m wrong, but Realtors don’t do that ! Every time I returned to town for a day of hauling everything from shelves to tools to cabinets, Ron made himself available with his truck. I was so grateful to have a second pair of hands for this bull work, but I never expected my REALTOR to volunteer. So, now, we get some offers and Ron kept reassuring me that an acceptable offer would come and just to be patient. That offer did come and Ron guided me through the entire process. I needed something called an RPR and some suggestions for a lawyer. Ron offered many names and everything just came together. I know this doesn’t happen to everyone, BUT I got lucky with a guy who actually cared about ALL aspects of my situation...and he got his hands dirty!
Would I recommend Ron O’Shea to anyone needing a Realtor who “GET”S IT” ?

He went above and beyond what any other realtor would do to get my small home ready for sale, and then even when the market wasn't great (2015), Ron always gave the best advice. When my wife passed away, I decided to downsize, so I called Ron. He immediately went to work looking into a lead for a unit that was being foreclosed on in the villas I wanted to buy. We eventually found another unit in the same complex and Ron put in an offer for me. We very quickly signed an offer. Ron set me up with a Lawyer he had previously worked with. I am happy to recommend Ron O'Shea as a professional, friendly and helpful Realtor in Calgary. I was interested in one of Ron's listings in Springbank Hill last summer so I dropped by his Open House one weekend. I was new to Calgary and was just browsing the market, so I hadn't a need for a Realtors services or so I thought. My family were joining me in the fall, so I was renting in the north and using public transportation until I acquired a second vehicle. My husband and I hired Ron O'Shea with The REAL ESTATE COMPANY Ltd, to sell our acreage. The task was time sensitive becasue the house was vacant most of the summer and we needed to either sell soon or rent it out, again...soon. Ron had professional photos taken and provided nice, custom feature sheets for Realtor showings. His marketing consisted of Open Houses, realtor.ca exposure, Calgary real estate newspaper ads and kijjijji advertising. He also connected a device called " The Talking House" transmitter to promote the property to people who were just driving in the area. I just have to say,that I, as a seller, found myself listening to the transmitter on many occasions. I thought it was great. An offer was presented by the first week of November and after some tense negotiating, we closed the deal. We realized that the market for acreages was quickly slowing down for the season, so we were quite impressed to have ours sold. I would have to say that my entire first time home buying experience was nothing short of excellent. i have to thank ron O'Shea for his outstanding performance he gave as a Realtor, taking his time explaining every detail and confirming that I completely understood what the project was all about. Ron was nothing shy of helping me see what is out there and what value the project held. Ron met with me and gave me the fair market value and suggestions on what to renovate etc. He let me know stats on what was selling and time frame etc before I contacted him to sign up. He was very friendly and professional and very knowledgeable .

I can’t thank Ron enough for all of his help and expertise in selling my Mother’s condo.
