I initially contacted the Walkers in December 2019 about listing my place in the spring of 2020. At the time they suggested I wait until the New Year as the Christmas season is historically a slow time of the year. By the time we touched base in January Covid concerns had just surfaced. I quickly realized that there was quite a bit of work on my part to get my place "show" ready..........many cupboards, drawers, bookcases to cull through and to eliminate unnessessary items/possessions not to mention a full footprint crawlspace and a shop garage. We agreed I would tackle this culling and get back to them upon completion. Having dealt with The Walker Team in the selling of my parent's home a number of years back I knew I would knew that they would be the best choice when faced with selling my home during Covid 19. I was most impressed with Cindy's ability to access the potential buyer's realtor's comments and to dismiss comments that had nothing to do with closing a deal while pointing out feature's that made the deal a good choice.

The Walkers are an excellent team. They checked the market thoroughly and determined a selling price range for the property. They went through the property and suggested things to make it more saleable.They brought other realtors through, had an open house and advertised on social media. So they really did cover all the bases. Based on the price range they had estimated we came up with a price that was fair and as a result we were made a cash offer which we countered and which was accepted. It turned out that we obtained the highest price ever paid for a townhouse in High Grove. It was a little complicated in that they were dealing not only with me but with two Executors of the Estate but they got all the signatures and approvals needed to make the deal work. This was the second time I have used the Walker Team and rest assured when I come to buying another property in this area they would be the Team I would go with again no doubt about it. I was impressed from the beginning with the package that the team put together, comparing other sales in the area, describing the market conditions and recommending the listing price and strategy. Cindy Walker did an absolutely excellent job for. She helped me purchase my new home, an 8 year old 3400 square foot Park Lane home that was in excellent condition. In a highly competitive sellers market ,Cindy was able to negotiate a $50,000 discount in a market when most houses are being sold for more than ask price. I was able to purchased this home while I was out of town and to facilitate this Cindy went well beyond what you would normally expect, including dealing with my bank to secure the deposit!! Also, Cindy was able to sell my townhouse for asking price when there were 3 other units for sale in my same complex where there are only 20 units. I would highly recommend Cindy and her team to anyone considering selling or buying a home.

When you do not live in the community to which you are moving, you really are at a disadvantage. Who do you choose? Who do you trust? We actually went to two previous brokers with two previous firms--one based on a recommendation from our Regina broker, and one based on a "hunch" when we saw the White Rock advertising that first trip. That first broker was from Langley and, while competent, did not really know the area. The other was utterly stupid. Couldn't believe it! Arrived late, complained of not having breakfast, incapable of listening to what we wanted, got lost in White Rock, arrived at places late and blamed his partner (his wife!) for giving him a "confusing" schedjle of places to show. Hewas most interested in telling us about his parties as a p-t fireman. This is what we flew to Vancouver for from Regina at the cost of around $1,000? Yet, he luckily stumbled into the strata where we ultimately bought, thanks to Cindy and our friend in Regina who recomended her. Cindy was completely accessible at any time of the day or evening. Worked so hard at helping us, and ultimately found us our home at a more than reasonable price. We will be recommending her and the Walker team to anyone who chooses to move to White Rock from our former home.
