Part of the Kawartha Lakes metropolitan area, Lindsay is a community within Kawartha Lakes, Ontario.

Transportation

This community is very car friendly. Parking is quite easy, and it is a reasonably short car ride to the closest highway from anywhere in this part of the city. Travelling on foot is not particularly practical for residents in this area as few daily needs can be carried out by walking. This part of the city is also not especially conducive to biking as the cycling infrastructure is not very extensive, and there are a fair number of hills to challenge cyclists.

Services

In this community, parents and their children will usually be able to get to daycares and schools on foot. Families can choose between public and private primary schools. Regarding food, it is convenient to access the nearest grocery store on foot from any home in Lindsay. There are also a few choices for those who value close by restaurants and cafes.

Character

Lindsay offers a calm ambience. Lindsay is very quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour.
