Located in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area, Cornell is a neighbourhood within Markham, Ontario.

Transportation

Travelling by car is convenient in this part of Markham. It is a rather short car ride to the nearest highway, such as Highway 407, from any home in Cornell, and it is easy to find a parking spot. However, commuting by public transit is difficult in this part of the city. Nonetheless, the nearest rapid transit station, including Cornell Bus Terminal Platform 8 and Markham Stouffville Hospital on the Viva Purple, is commonly relatively close by from the majority of properties in the neighbourhood. Residents are served by around 10 bus lines, and most properties are very close to a bus stop. This area is not particularly conducive to those who travel by foot since few daily errands can be run without having to use a vehicle. However, getting around by bicycle is convenient in Cornell as the cycling infrastructure is very extensive.
