Located within the Greater Oshawa metropolitan area, Beaton is a neighbourhood in Oshawa, Ontario.

Transportation

Beaton is an extraordinarily good part of Oshawa for getting around by car. Many houses for sale are a short car ride from the nearest highway, such as Highway 401, and it is especially convenient to park. However, commuting by transit can be difficult in Beaton by reason of the infrequent service. Nonetheless, the neighbourhood is served by a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far from most homes. Bicycling is difficult in Beaton because there are a fair number of slopes for cyclists to brave, and the bicycling infrastructure is not very comprehensive. Nevertheless, a few pleasant areas for cycling exist. Travelling on foot is also not very feasible for home buyers in Beaton because running common errands is sometimes challenging by walking.

Services

A car is almost always required in Beaton to access the nearest supermarket. In terms of education, there are no high schools and no primary schools in this neighbourhood. Likewise, families may consider it very difficult for their children to reach daycares as a pedestrian.
