Humber Valley

Humber Valley is a neighbourhood within Toronto, Ontario, which is situated in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area.

Transportation

This part of the city offers home buyers the choice between several modes of transportation. Humber Valley is a fairly pleasant part of Toronto for moving around by public transit. Homeowners benefit from a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far from most residences. Travelling on foot is also feasible for residents in this part of Toronto; running common errands is easy. Bicycling is convenient in this neighbourhood.

Services

A fraction of residents in Humber Valley may be able to buy groceries by walking, while others will have to use a vehicle. There are also a few restaurants and cafes in this neighbourhood. Regarding education, parents and their children will welcome that no matter where their house is situated in Humber Valley, daycares and primary schools are close by. However, there are only a few high schools and accordingly they can be an extended walk away. At the elementary level, there are both public and private schools.

Character

Humber Valley is a reasonably good neighbourhood to buy a home in for those who prefer a relaxed ambience. There is a very large amount of greenery in this part of the city as most streets have excellent tree coverage. A large number of locations in the neighbourhood have fairly good access to parks, like St. George's Golf and Country Club and Lambton Woods, since there are around 40 of them close by for residents to discover. This neighbourhood is reasonably quiet overall, as the streets are calm - although there are still several louder sections, especially around the railway line.

Housing

Single detached homes are the predominant housing type, representing around 45% of dwellings in Humber Valley, and the rest of the properties are mainly large apartment buildings and small apartment buildings. This neighbourhood did not experience a single construction boom; the construction of new buildings in the neighbourhood was spread throughout multiple decades in the twentieth and twenty-first century. This neighbourhood also has a good selection of unit sizes - it is quite easy to find properties ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms. Around two thirds of the population of this neighbourhood own their home whereas renters make up the remainder.
