La Petite-Patrie has a very good public transit system owing to a multitude of nearby rapid transit stations on the Ligne 5 - Bleue and Ligne 2 - Orange, and around 20 nearby bus lines. This neighbourhood is also an extremely pleasant part of Montréal for pedestrians; running common errands is very easy, and a fair number of businesses of different types can be found as well. Active property owners will appreciate the especially bike-friendly nature of this neighbourhood. For example, bicycling is made easier by the generally flat terrain, and the cycling network is good.
