The neighbourhood of Place Vertu is part of the city of Montréal, Quebec, which is situated in the Greater Montreal metropolitan area.

Transportation

Regardless of the mode of transportation, it is quite convenient to travel in Place Vertu. With about 10 nearby bus lines, commuting by public transit is convenient in this part of Montréal. Physically active property owners will also welcome the pedestrian-friendly nature of Place Vertu; many daily needs can be carried out on foot. The bike is a good mode of transportation in Place Vertu because bicycle riders do not encounter serious elevation changes, and the cycling infrastructure is quite comprehensive.

Services

Schools and daycares are convenient to walk to from most properties for sale in this part of the city. With respect to food, it is very easy to reach the closest grocery store on foot from anywhere in this area. In addition, a coffee shop is commonly just around the corner, and there are also a limited number of choices for those who appreciate restaurants within walking distance.

Character

Place Vertu offers a broad selection of green spaces to enjoy, despite its sometimes busy feel. To be more specific, although the neighbourhood does not contain any public green spaces, parks are very well-spread out in nearby neighbourhoods, making them easy to access from a large number of locations in Place Vertu. At the same time, few tree-lined streets are prominent. This neighbourhood has many sections that are very calm and quiet; however other spots can be noisy, especially close to Autoroute Félix-Leclerc.

In Place Vertu, roughly half of buildings are small apartment buildings. This part of the city offers mainly three bedroom and two bedroom homes. Roughly 85% of the units in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners while the remainder are rented. Most homes in this part of the city were constructed between 1990 and 2000, during its biggest building boom.
