This part of the city will appeal to physically active people because it is quite conducive to walking; running daily errands is convenient. In contrast, cycling is sometimes difficult in Sumas Way as cyclists encounter quite a few slopes, and there are few bike lanes. Cars are an excellent transportation option in this neighbourhood. Nearby highways, such as Trans-Canada Highway, are very easy to access from any location in Sumas Way, and it is very convenient to park. However, the public transit service in this part of the city is not very frequent. Nonetheless, there are a few bus lines traversing the neighbourhood, and bus stops are usually nearby.

It is very easy to reach the closest supermarket on foot from most homes for sale in Sumas Way. A small number of restaurants and cafes can be found as well.
